I think this bug was present in 1.3.0 and was since fixed:
commit efa578ecaece67366b4b0e2266de7c2faaa4ae54
https://issues.guix.gnu.org/40377
No workaround for this one, other than passing the actual commit ID
instead of the tag name to ‘guix pull --commit’.
