Unfortunately, this new version fails its test suite on i686.  It has
done so twice in a row on Hydra:

  https://hydra.gnu.org/build/2217470

The armhf build hasn't yet been attempted.

This is a serious problem for i686 users, since it's effectively
blocking them from updating their system to deploy security updates.
If the issue cannot be resolved very soon, we'll need to revert this
update.  Would you like to investigate?

Argh. Thanks for the heads-up. I've reverted the update while
investigating.

Bah, a fix for this was committed ~24h ago, but was not pushed to g.k.o
before recently.
