Bah indeed. pluma and mate-applets both fail to build. :-/ I agree we need more automation here. One way to do this would be something like =E2=80=98make assert-binaries-available=E2=80=99, which chec= ks for substitute availability (it could be a prerequisite of =E2=80=98make dist= =E2=80=99), where we=E2=80=99d explicitly check for DEs on x86_64 and i686. That would= be an improvement, though it=E2=80=99d still be quite handcrafted. Ludo=E2=80=99.
