How could that be? Do you have a recent Intel CPU? From what I know they removed support for conservative, because their powersave is in fact conservative. Also they don=E2=80=99t necessarily stick to the frequency you set for them= . To ensure that they keep the frequency, I have a script running that sets the speed every minute: (define cpupower-powersave-job ;; Set the governor to powersave every minute. ;; The job's action is a shell command. ;; TODO: migrate to clearer syntax: #~(job '(next-hour '(3)) (string-ap= pend #$btrfs-progs "/bin/btrfs scrub start -c 3 /"))) #~(job "* * * * *" ;Vixie cron syntax "cpupower frequency-set -g powersave -u 1200000")) ;; use powersav= e governor with a maximum frequency of 1200MHz (this is a problem which also hits other distributions) Best wishes, Arne =2D- Unpolitisch sein hei=C3=9Ft politisch sein ohne es zu merken --=-=-= Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name="signature.asc" -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- iQIzBAEBCAAdFiEE801qEjXQSQPNItXAE++NRSQDw+sFAl2zdNsACgkQE++NRSQD w+sfQw//fvYHBuxHv83++qMS+NexkLf9B/CSOJh6ar2JyUo1sh4I3fSKW/UKMPuQ 8xbXUyCXurqQjacwhzJnWVVx7kosxCTb+4yH2UMiA96ajI8KY/6hzXGapT4ICT7r OW2S6P4O7hEB8ExV+N8EtitkVpWrqthIbGwEOl293L1d7hp9/6SNJnSkncDXImTM ho/VVmjg+Glef6TxmJ0RitZcWccJdBFCapO70sGSib7Rv/KfsTBeBqbpzi4mDmXJ BTfJQAZ+GoMyh4kjjdm7kRiJjR00scfzUDLrgVZ6dFpVu+lC4rKGHpVtlmte+yf6 3ePngQgRDXkU9arEbPomoYxag4NWIysqv0IdvTlmk9LQXypYCAgXcKNAUPxKUWC7 35M/bmLIUmlP6qrCRd4wRgPUzXyZn5V1IxYGysyGfQ07oEbT7W1V0jU8/iNdvcwu C9sPw79OAoBosCRQG29IgrcPY8ISAO7ZI7GRPX3U6M6nXQAMwzHlCT6woewPPLtR N5xtBH9/MMlKvn39tI+D0/wTJ+A6YfaNjBXe65rAzN5Rj99/BrAux68HJkh8iRJv S1NBe5Wxm5liXdME7QXDsI/6TOJDSUDN5hnDKyzAveijy5ODi0v9SFz2Hch74gXR lq47hB+f5DpeGTbSpeHITzs0EqeV8Dh2dso2td+02WImVAeUqqCIswQBAQgAHRYh BN0ovebZh1yrzkqLHdzPDbMLwQVIBQJds3TeAAoJENzPDbMLwQVI/vED/1O5CFZI EOSj7CejqnHxd85TUhrPEkphuq70y4ORGV5wMsIYPTNfkzwDWFzp54fIN+j/qi1d QYCTR9AJxScaH6UauwiMUqdlF/ow0hNXA3Vxu/htXjPdoIqF4ZhKgxLonCOXYOh2 zeRnpg0/6Je5hC9CMqAS619QJu/BCc243IrL =qA07 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --=-=-=--
