I’m working on it, and it seems to solve the problem.

Not sure what you mean here.  It could be that you had tarballs already
in the store, and thus didn’t notice the problem.

Well, dunno.  The nscd is enabled by default in glibc builds, so it
could be that it was there once upon a time...
