Subject: Is it dangerous to run guix home/system reconfigure from an uninstalled / development Guix profile?
Date: Mon, 21 Oct 2024 17:54:29 +0200 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <87jze1v4cq.fsf@ngraves.fr> (raw)
When I develop for RDE, I'd like to be able to see the result on a real
system quicker. The bootleneck here is the compilation of a new guix,
whereas I have one readily available in my development directory.
I wonder if there are any hazards to using a development version of Guix
to update one's home/system profile (other than potentially loosing the
repo/commit and not being able to go back to the same state) ?
