Perhaps we could tweak our info-dir profile hook to run =E2=80=98install-in= fo=E2=80=99 once per language, such that we=E2=80=99d have =E2=80=9Cdir.fr=E2=80=9D and= =E2=80=9Cdir=E2=80=9D? Then we would still need to Info readers to pick the right file by default based on the locale. In the meantime, since nobody will know about =E2=80=9Cdir.fr=E2=80=9D, we = could add a sentence at the beginning of the English manual saying =E2=80=9CThis manual= is also available in: French, =E2=80=A6=E2=80=9D. Thoughts? Ludo=E2=80=99.
