Did you change to use the release tarball (hash
1dnlxqgy9v0mjdknv3b1s64szdykyk3hk0rxj3chwhpd415lrwgs)?

I don't see a reason why the bootstrap phase would run using the release
tarball, since it appears to be already bootstrapped (i.e. "make dist").
