As I wrote, almost any package using `git-version' is going to create a version mismatch. This is because we consider (git-version "X.Y" revision commit) to be greater than "X.Y" whereas Repology either ignore the version, or consider it to be a pre-release before "X.Y". See, e.g., "emacs:circe" project, or "joycond". This, I think, the most prominent category of comparison failures. Also, there are versions which are plain wrong, e.g., "emacs:csv-mode", and disqualify correct and up-to-date version. There are also version disagreement in, e.g., "colobot", or upstream disagreement, e.g., "emacs:scala-mode".
