The Mesa release notes[0] has this blurb when the minor version changes: Mesa 17.3.0 is a new development release. People who are concerned with stability and reliability should stick with a previous release or wait for Mesa 17.3.1. Since we will be "stuck" on this Mesa version for some time, I prefer sticking to the stable branches. 17.2.7 is also newer than 17.3.0 :-) [0] https://www.mesa3d.org/relnotes/17.3.0.html --=-=-= Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name="signature.asc" -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- iQEzBAEBCgAdFiEEu7At3yzq9qgNHeZDoqBt8qM6VPoFAlo3sacACgkQoqBt8qM6 VPo6UAgAnhaOdyghjKXGs767B8twPZRIT+5HeHoKTINRBHHbl0JCEXrAzB3BFJLU Rbpt4xQ2A0RZVvlC+5udr/P/xVDTM20BnQEtHBGKe+JSuFmKHt2wUoiLPfUpYFLE ocIdJSCt2mu7/P8UmNfKQNIiApDG6bos2a1R/Gz2rRHHG5lNj3PZNR77sFUs4H88 NsgiBu8os6jQOxn/W5oW+L1aysGwU0KhiMi0chYzi44MgQ7up7jmoGMfS8tTTSht 6gTR1CdvFSxQsD1ZkbFSqoh5UNOwKO1vSCVQrJt9qVn+gvK08oXufehfxiWILAPG yAqleKIx+Nl7x1eVIofcL/Xw75nZBQ== =9MaS -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --=-=-=--
