Something starting with =E2=80=9Cerror:=E2=80=9D, I guess.

Also, are you running guix-daemon as root, with a special-purpose build
user group, as noted in the =E2=80=9CInstallation=E2=80=9D section of the m=
anual?

The actual directory name depends on your --localstatedir or --prefix
option passed to =E2=80=98configure=E2=80=99.  Can you check the value of
=E2=80=98localstatedir=E2=80=99 in the config.log file?
