I'll reply to the issue; the one thing I think that we should fix for sure is that it prompts for the email during guix system reconfigure. There should be a way to pass this in as an option... IMO having prompts there is unexpected! But maybe even if that can't be done soon we should push it and open the email thing as another bug. And yes I was thinking the same thing; I'm still running a server using this, so upgrading it is a bit awkward with the stale branch.
