I can confirm that running the following within Termite crashes the
terminal:
guix environment --ad-hoc python -- python3 -c "print(u'hey \u2665\ufe0e\ufe0f')"
This bug is fixed in pango 1.42.4, which has been "grafted" on the
master branch with commit 7693f678d1de222e47af6b34ce62c41ea69934c8. I
can no longer reproduce the crash after updating, let me know if you
experience further problems.
