Singularity output

I am wondering if we could directly generate Singularity containers as
we do with Docker today. There are converters like

The reason is that HPC is increasingly allowing Singularity and if we
can write a nice BLOG about that it would attract attention. Writing
containers with Guix is so much nicer than with Ubuntu or similar as a
base-line. And more secure and light-weight too.

I am not using Singularity so maybe I miss a point. But

  guix pack -f squashfs

does not do the right job?

It does, that works with Singularity 2.x and 3.x.
