Subject: Import from Debian?
Date: Sun, 24 Apr 2016 14:32:42 +0200 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <571CBCEA.5010404@crazy-compilers.com> (raw)
Hi,
did anybody work on some "guix import debian"?
If we'd had something like this, this could increase the speed for
adding new packages a lot. I found a Python module `python-debian` which
seams to allow analyzing .dsc files and control files quite easily. If
it is of interest, I could implement "guix-import-debian". Of course,
since I'm not a scheme programmer, this would be in Python. But it could
be used as a scratch for a Guile implementation.
Opinions?
