Hello,
There are my observations,

  * In the root profile, the error mentioned by Chris is not displayed in 
/var/log/messages.
  * In both users (root and my myuser) the disable network function does 
not work.
  * Related to the patch provided (by Ludovic), I applied it and it 
displays the following error:
