I also discovered recently that I can set this in emacs:

(setq display-time-world-list
      '(("Africa/Nairobi" "Nairobi")
        ("Europe/Amsterdam" "Amsterdam")))

and then run `display-time-world`

I have `display-time-world` bound to `<leader> p t` (I'm using emacs-evil-leader package in guix).
