This is different from distros like Debian that basically fork the software and make a huge number of changes to suit the package maintainer's taste. This keeps package maintenance relatively easy for us and ensures that important changes get pushed upstream so that all users can benefit. Having said that, this line wrapping thing is a very bad default, and I think we should change it. Nano is one of the editors in the GuixSD installer. It needs to be easy to use. If we change the default in our package, we need to file a bug upstream: https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?group=3Dnano --M9NhX3UHpAaciwkO Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name="signature.asc" -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- iQIzBAABCAAdFiEEsFFZSPHn08G5gDigJkb6MLrKfwgFAlvjLOUACgkQJkb6MLrK fwhe0xAA5nWf7f7/1Z7oOG+WFyro4kaW6qvxxeNGEoOWuc3JcoRK6bZ3kVAYyj3X k80B0i8Vaq/sMAhu5LbrnDvX3T+/nnHKshLo9AmA+kaF/bhLNYjKrgR1i2sddUf3 Mger+t2zjVP5IbIG5JkChC2m0So9nqhRUjfaB89JzO2HBeegGd19wKYQR0KN6P3I IDXxG3u4oU+dmvcaE+3io5cDfwkSmqCJRm97OEF2C+5lgEdubFaidIDdb3LrlC/j INJOoF363uwkgis/iSeOM5sGkD9CJFoS9dlDrkpzLYdMZ2xCHmvghXpowqgecH44 T7awqOTLvGuZQYAlX4bHoVz6v8R+0c9UrNvzdRe6/qIm+q34hL45D45go+R6Wg5I SCfWiCpybyojbEMSjJxUyRN+l5lAOcqZD2YU16w+PlfLybM2nbivM6PpzzE5UJ0c FrBx67O6LwCUpGAkm9AFYXo9qleRvndwLuyUkjhYN3EBn/fpqsc/JaECUwnhO8nl 27+oHIOS5UzA1j6/O18x0lDy3BQEW1iyTZ4yJ84u8fC5PFxSV9hdd56TM7pHwCno EcRBjD2v8Rxj0uxx4rPRriseFo0BP83pWnRjWCCG6LkIB9Q8QzOBSN7UXDzfNeXB vKtYmfp8LYzpvi0zjTPlPDbVJt0XnZNRcOqqT3e6V2AJ78dSKPw= =jLUi -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --M9NhX3UHpAaciwkO--
