I still don't know - I seem to have lost the local clone along the way. It would be good to know it still. It should be possible to unset the CLASSPATH environment variable even before installing. On the other hand, I checked that dependencies listed inside MANIFEST.MF ar= e picked up by the INDEX.LIST generator by manually editing a JAR file.
