How about making available one prebuilt package (GNU hello comes to mind) and giving it as an example in the manual? Is some infrastructure for this already available? As I understand things, currently the first thing that is done for any installation is a bootstrap of gcc. Hello,

a tiny, but annoying typo in the texinfo manual:

Section 2.2, the option "-x" should read "-i".

How about making available one prebuilt package (GNU hello comes to mind)

and giving it as an example in the manual? Is some infrastructure for

this already available? As I understand things, currently the first thing

that is done for any installation is a bootstrap of gcc.

Andreas
