... so in GIMP's Edit > Preferences > Folders > Plug-ins, I added:
"/home/thorwil/.guix-profile/lib/gimp/2.0/plug-ins/"
and restarted GIMP. Then I tried to use Filters > Enhance > Heal 
Selection and got:
