I probably didn't hightlight it in the descr= iption. As you suggested I already had look at Arch (previous user). I built it successfully on Arch using the PKGBUILD. They pass the include flag with the dir -I . Without it points to $(TOPDIR)= /src/libhd hence the substitution of as otherwise it expands into -I../../s= rc/hd I applied this flag but the build is still failing.
