Hi Efraim,

Everything seems to work correctly using gcc.
The binary is built with the D language and dub.
(I should have mentioned that as well - I'll try to get better at these
help requests)

I'm currently giving it another go but I'll try to compose a minimal setup
and upload it to github if you guys are still interested.
