What should I do to solve this issue? How to tell xawtv about any usable font?

xlsfonts shows plenty of ISO8859 fonts

$ xlsfonts | grep iso8859 | wc -l
1016

By the way. I have same issue with xfontsel programm:

$ xfontsel
Warning: Unable to load any usable ISO8859 font
Warning: Missing charsets in String to FontSet conversion
Error: Aborting: no font found
