That is, you can run: guix time-machine -C channels.scm -- shell -m manifest.scm Both tools cache their result, with a GC root (similar to what you would do with =E2=80=98--root=E2=80=99), and reuse it (similar to =E2=80=98--prof= ile=E2=80=99). These two GC roots may be removed if you=E2=80=99ve not touched them for some time, at w= hich point =E2=80=98guix gc=E2=80=99 can potentially remove these profiles. Would it work for you?
