How to prevent the process of system upgrade and=20 > just remain things as they are but only adding new disk to my=20 > system? Guix can't upgrade your system, it can only build a new one. It=20 will merely re-use parts of the old system that they have in=20 common (which can be and often is =E2=80=98almost everything=E2=80=99). This is actually significant: you can't ask a new Guix to modify=20 an older Guix's system, to leave everything in place but just add=20 this one small thing, like you can for bare profiles. For that,=20 you need to reconfigure the old system with the same version of=20 Guix that was used to build it. What do $ guix system describe and $ guix describe say? My guess is they will both display a different commit=20 because you've =E2=80=98guix pull=E2=80=99ed after creating the system. If= so,=20 you can use $ guix time-machine --commit=3D -- system=20 reconfigure =E2=80=A6 to apply your changes. If the system and guix commits *do* match and you've added nothing=20 besides a new FILE-SYSTEM, I have no idea why Guix is=20 (re-)building ffmpeg. An overzealous =E2=80=98guix gc=E2=80=99 in the mean= time?
