Please let me know if you have any concerns by replying to the patch email submission: https://debbugs.gnu.org/cgi/bugreport.cgi?bug=3D29271 I think the existence of this email thread proves that the question of "Are substitutes enabled by default?" does not have an obvious answer. I also think that the existence of this email proves that the behavior of the --fallback command is not obvious, so it requires a very careful explanation in the manual to eliminate any risk of misinterpretation. Please do not reply to this email with feedback on the patch series; please respond to the patch email if you have feedback on the patch. =2D-=20 Chris --=-=-= Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name="signature.asc" -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- iQIzBAEBCAAdFiEEy/WXVcvn5+/vGD+x3UCaFdgiRp0FAloILCUACgkQ3UCaFdgi Rp1W4g/9GlWYmNsDpr9XO96wnL+GQDDc/mE+0TQ4lD5Vh02j0pMlLhEdP8WyXLB1 bxhRo8nbd1oTG8aCdn9IBFgBjcpCAgkaoCYBTbyeXbJwAyS3ilx/kNJOUnJvc0d9 xkZG8VHEHSP2vPZaCirfqmwjpelaAEtJP3CA2vK5Rb9lSBB9YtRv3WQYztag2iah VFWaVMm5hVO8cDHC1zRp9Hh8cM4YD4OLOOFlGBe8Phid4SBVc8pKbaLpyMSnBIV6 NQXN3yjH7libZctjaSWA5JvzytGWtqt0ctovUeBMYnJeuyCwSkwc3JcAo0LuxHeb XhmNNiHBUpQ+sd13IcQFdSEwYwed75XL61Vk1zVICgY7Y/j0dDNTfK01VGk5C6xJ xV3AQ4eAleK1xqjpIydyaebYYraXiWxk0y1iZzxg2C5WsnupE9pqLdPFRidnQjhI AFOA1WjaHUxlAkzKyegfBj8uDcJf3rG/xcFh41xXT6whh8TmQlu+hMkR5uq8MUlZ xufzhdah9YQXcCZan959kRMX3JjNeDZuIvVmFp8ZRFCTl/0ephzoI+IXESC7/TIC 6PzDfPcQpITdilHX1jHSzzcGRFAZZ4SOJ5Og4B82d0PFXrwj/O0PjiWGOEn3O96E XjLA59HpD4Zcmk2wdRgvg1sRd777DuKBBQT6dLlESjwTUUm/HuY= =t8BR -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --=-=-=--
