I've never encountered it. This is similar to another recent bug report, where =E2=80=98guix show=E2= =80=99=20 listed something as depending on a hidden package. Or something=20 like that. How is this not a bug? A package manager CLI that so routinely lists bogus =E2=80=98packages=E2=80= =99=20 that break the very same CLI is silly. We're so used to it happening in Guix that we don't notice, or=20 tolerate it when we do, or pile on ad hoc work-arounds because we=20 broke the obvious sed to begin with. Two possible solutions: =2D Hide hidden packages. This makes the most sense to me. You'd=20 still report accurate[0] numbers for =E2=80=98guix refresh -l=E2=80=99. =2D Allow referring to hidden packages in some contexts, or maybe=20 all contexts, and keep listing them in =E2=80=98advanced=E2=80=99 tools l= ike=20 =E2=80=98guix refresh -l=E2=80=99. There are probably more. Kind regards, T G-R [0]: Of course these numbers aren't accurate anyway, because=20 inheritance. --=-=-= Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name="signature.asc" -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- iIMEARYKACsWIQT12iAyS4c9C3o4dnINsP+IT1VteQUCY30t3Q0cbWVAdG9iaWFz LmdyAAoJEA2w/4hPVW15ZYkA/3PHtZKm8YMnCC5IN9sGi3t/V8yQgw9PbgKn5aFK bma2AP9qvrKoEiyBD11FlcyE/jR0bmqRbtmgQCxhnkYAre35AA== =xQNX -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --=-=-=--
