maybe someone could translate the manual?

I just translated the complete manual with google translate to create a
first draft. (it is ~200.000 words)

(1,5 MB)

Unfortunately google removed their support for .po-files from the
interface I used so now the original strings are translated which is a
mess. (I'm guessing this happened because they extract fees from
Transifex when people pay to enable google machine translation there.)

Does anyone know of a script to convert from this:

msgid "some text translated with a machine"
msgstr ""

to this:

msgid ""
msgstr "some text translated with a machine"

and then to populate the .po-file again with the original msgid?

Unue ni eble eltrovi kiel nomi "Guix" en Esperanto.

Mi ankaux (kaj pro tio mi evitas cxiuj gugloservoj krom tiu cxi) sed tio
ne rilatas cxi kaze kiam temas pri publika tekstajxo sen iuj personaj
informoj.

Cxiukaze la teksto jam pretas por fintradukado/polurado (prefere post
konverto laux mia unua retposxto).

policy?  I remember Parabola escalating a discussion at

One issue is privacy issues and another issue is non-freedom of Chromium
on that thread. Is this appreciation incorrect?

Their discussion is unrelated.  I wanted to state that they escalated
an issue to libreplanet-discuss.

I believe there should be GNU policy dictating whether usage of Google
Translate is OK or not, because maybe it is possible that some
jurisdiction we care about could rule that Google has a copyright on
what their software algorithms produce.  AFAIK this is not covered in
their terms of service, but I did not read much of them.
