Since I do not have that interconnect I would make it optional. The fastest interconnect that I have is USB 3.0 between my Talos II (host) and ROCKPro64 (device/otg). I plan to make my own guix channel anyway with personal changes and for software development. For example I plan to add guile scripting to eeschema, after I found out that the python scripts are broken and upgrade to KiCad 8 or any later version. > >=20 >=20 > I think this is worth a bug report, and maybe you're also up to > sending some patches?=C2=A0 I think it's slightly more complicated than > just the kicad package, though, since libcxi isn't a direct > dependency: >=20 > =C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0$ guix graph --path kicad= libcxi > =C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0kicad@7.0.11 > =C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0libngspice@43 > =C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0openmpi@4.1.6 > =C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0libfabric@1.22.0 > =C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0libcxi@1.0.1-0.5b6f8b5 >=20 > So, I think what needs to happen is that libcxi needs to have POWER9 > removed from its supported-systems field; and libfabric needs to > conditionally include libcxi in its inputs based on architecture.=C2=A0 I > think the best way to do that is by checking for the build system in > (package-supported-systems libcxi), which will avoid hardcoding > duplicate arch tests in two packages. >=20 > =C2=A0 -- Ian >=20
