Thanks for sharing your thoughts!=C2=A0 I pretty much agree with the= kind
words about the Guix group. ;-)

I didn=E2=80=99t know (I suppose I didn=E2=80=99t pay attention) to what ha= ppened to you
in Guile land, and I=E2=80=99m sad you experienced it and felt bad about th= e
whole story.

I feel that =E2=80=9CGNU is toxic=E2=80=9D and =E2=80=9CGuile is toxic=E2= =80=9D are unhelpful, though.
I mean, we are GNU, and we are Guile.=C2=A0 GNU has its own set of problems=
that we=E2=80=99ll have to deal with, and it=E2=80=99s a very big organizat= ion with its
own history etc., so improving things is difficult.=C2=A0 But Guile is a small community, and I=E2=80=99m sure we can improve.
=
I agree that there's room for improvement

<= div>That's the reason why I wrote that post

I could h= ave silently drift away and maybe move to Racket or to Pharo or to knitting= fishing nets, as thousands of people have already done

I= thought that in providing my cut on the Guile experience I was providing g= round on which to operate

It was what I could do to help = the Guile community to improve a bit.

I was ma= ybe slightly presumptuos, yes
=C2=A0
To me, the lesson as a Guile co-maintainer is that we should be paying
more attention in general.=C2=A0 I consider myself partly responsible for this in that, although I=E2=80=99m still officially co-maintainer,

Ah I didn't know this
I thought = you were a _former_ comantainer

Had I nown you were still= a comantainer, I wold have pinged you, when the accident happened

<= /div>
I refrained from pinging you because I had understood that you ha= d explicitly stripped yourself of the Guile responsibility in order to dedi= cate your efforts to Guix
=C2=A0
I haven=E2=80=99t
been paying much attention to what=E2=80=99s going on on the Guile channels= .=C2=A0 We
shouldn=E2=80=99t let hostile conversations like the one you experienced on=
#guile through.=C2=A0

Definitely. I'm = glad you acnowledge this

=C2=A0
Perhaps what we need is someone to step up and help out
with Guile?=C2=A0 We should all care.

S= hould any initiative to improve the Guile channels come out of this, I woul= d consider this a huge success of my post =F0=9F=98=8A

=C2=A0

Thank you,
Ludo=E2=80=99.

Thank you !
