Adding programmer Dvorak keyboard layout

Hello!

Can we add programmer Dvorak to the keyboards supported by default
please? Or is there any reason to keep it out?

I'm installing Guix and this layout is not one of the options :S

Ahoy fellow dvp user!

Programmer Dvorak is the only layout I'm fluent in, so I'd notice its absence immediately.  I never have.  Nor is it new or obscure or silly like Colemak.

The list of layouts presented by the installer is exhaustive.  We've never curated it or ‘added’ anything.  Such a request would be punted upstream.

Which other Dvorak layouts do you see?  Programmer will be one of them.

Dear Tobias,

Thanks for your reply. Ah, I looked at the English UK layouts, where I
think no Dvorak of any kind appears. Perhaps it should... If we want to
do things real neat then we should figure out which English dialect
(subtle spelling changes in American / British / etc) (Programmer)
Dvorak is optimised for, and place it there. Possibly also place the
layout with every other English dialect as well, I don't know.

Just to let you know, your second email, as opposed to the first, is
possibly badly formatted because on pressing ENT then rmail returns
rmail-mime-toggle-hidden: Wrong type argument: rmail-mime-entity, nil
