I strongly encourage using literal strings as patterns, it’s more
robust. In this case, you could replace the ‘for-each’ expression with
something like (untested):
(substitute* "desktop/scripts/soffice.sh"
(("\\<(dirname|grep|uname)\\>" _ cmomand)
(which command)))
