It was on purpose that I did not insist on =E2=80=9Cpurely functional.=E2=
=80=9D  That=E2=80=99s
obviously the core concept, but I think it=E2=80=99s obscure to many (espec=
ially
in this context), whereas =E2=80=9Ctransactional=E2=80=9D may make sense fo=
r a wider
audience.
