As a reminder, some of the cool things for packagers: =E2=80=A2 =E2=80=98search-path-specification=E2=80=99 can now specify fil= es (instead of plain directories) or even file pattern (for example, =E2=80=98catalog.xml=E2= =80=99 for libxml2, or maybe =E2=80=98\\.cmake$=E2=80=99 for CMake) This should u= nlock a few things. =E2=80=A2 The ld wrapper now adds a =E2=80=98-rpath=E2=80=99 flag for lib= raries passed by file name (as in =E2=80=9C/path/to/libfoo.so=E2=80=9D instead of =E2=80=9C-L= /path/to -lfoo=E2=80=9D.) This will be useful for CMake-generated makefiles, notably. =E2=80=A2 =E2=80=98libltdl=E2=80=99 and =E2=80=98libtool=E2=80=99 are now= separate. For users: =E2=80=A2 Documentation is now systematically in share/{man,info}, and it= is compressed. =E2=80=A2 The =E2=80=98glibc=E2=80=99 package no longer has a =E2=80=9Clo= cale=E2=80=9D output, making it faster to build, and much smaller (the =E2=80=9Clocale=E2=80=9D output = was always pulled, and it took 110 MiB.) =E2=80=A2 A bunch of updates, notably GCC 4.8.4, Binutils 2.25, xorg-server 1.16.3. Enjoy! Ludo=E2=80=99.
