I think we need less drama and more pragmatism.  :-)

Evidently, we’ve lived with those bugs for years just fine.

So I think we need to focus on the short-term plan for 1.2, which cannot
be a full rebuild.

As a start, could you comment out in ‘machines-for-berlin.scm’ the
machines that need to be removed in order to not run 32-bit builds in
potentially buggy environments?

(I’m sorry that I haven’t been able to contribute more to the discussion
around all the work you’ve done, but I’m really overwhelmed by
information and feel unable to determine the severity of the problem.)
