Please only push release-critical fixes to that branch.  Other changes
can of course still go to ‘master’.

In the coming days I’ll run “make release” and address remaining issues
there so we can hopefully publish RC1 within a few days.  Help is
welcome!  Let’s synchronize by email and (preferably) on IRC!
