I think if you posit a free software project that works in the way you describe ("on its own"), it would work very much like Guile works right now. I think the same for Guix -- Ludo and Richard don't pass their patches by some kind of FSF approval board ;) That said, happy hacking, and see you around some part of the free software universe I hope :) Andy
