The story of =E2=80=98build-expression->derivation=E2=80=99 is that of an u= nfinished transition to G-expressions. :-) There=E2=80=99s a branch called =E2=80=98wip-build-systems-gexp=E2=80=99 th= at aims to complete that transition, but I haven=E2=80=99t yet gotten around to actually finish= ing the work. This is one of the things I want us to complete for 1.0 though, so sooner rather than later. Thanks, Ludo=E2=80=99.
