I=E2=80=99m not sure what the conclusion of those bug reports were, but (gnu build accounts) doesn=E2=80=99t reuse UIDs: you can see that in =E2=80=98user+group-databases=E2=80=99, which reads the initial /etc/{passw= d,group}, and passes them to =E2=80=98allocate-passwd=E2=80=99 and =E2=80=98allocate-grou= p=E2=80=99, which =E2=80=9Creserve=E2=80=9D those initial UIDs/GIDs. This is exercised in tests/accounts.scm (search for =E2=80=9Cno reuse=E2=80= =9D). There could be bugs of course, but in that case we should fix them. :-) Ludo=E2=80=99.
