It only allows you to push code > directly where it interferes with the work of others :) We may like to imagine that being a core maintainer is not a badge of honor, but in reality, it *is* a badge of honor. A core maintainer is not just a regular participant any more than the President is just a public servant. If core maintainership is not to be associated with power and honor, we should put in place processes to achieve that. In that regard, Guix has done better than most other free software projects. For example, we don't assign people as maintainers (or owners) of specific packages or groups of packages like other distributions have. Still, I'm sure there's more we can do. Cheers!
