I=E2=80=99m new to debbugs in general, and Emacs=E2=80=99 debbugs mode in=20 particular. However, I have been using it to track the status on=20 some of my patches, or to just generally browse. There are a few issues: 1) It=E2=80=99d be nice if =E2=80=98M-x debbug-guix=E2=80=99 existed. I (br= iefly) looked=20 at making such a command, thinking it=E2=80=99d be relatively=20 straight-forward to just copy =E2=80=98debbugs-gnu=E2=80=99 and tweak some= =20 variables, but when it looked like it was going to take more than=20 10 minutes just to figure out how it was all put together I gave=20 up as I can=E2=80=99t really dedicate time to it right now. 2) IMHO, the documentation for debbugs is pretty poor. It mostly=20 relies on GNUS documentation for things like mode help; and while=20 this makes sense, GNUS is a big, complex package (which is why I=20 use mu4e instead of it), and it really raises the barrier for=20 understanding debbugs quite a lot. 3) Even after reading all the documentation I could find, it=20 doesn=E2=80=99t seem to work very well for an issue-tracker workflow. I=20 still don=E2=80=99t know how to simply reply to a ticket. Let alone how to= =20 apply a patch to my tree (I did see documentation for how to do=20 that to the Emacs source tree, but that=E2=80=99s not very useful =E2=80=94= also,=20 the key combinations feel very obtuse and hard for me to=20 remember). So, right now, I just use it to browse, since I find it easier=20 than mumi, but everything else happens with external tools. It=E2=80=99s=20 very possible my n00b is showing right now and it=E2=80=99s easier to work= =20 with than it seems at first blush, but I=E2=80=99d say that means the=20 documentation needs some dedicated, non-GNUS-oriented love. It=20 would be very helpful if there were a HOWTO, like we used to do in=20 the old days, with how to use it for simple tasks, and stick it in=20 the info documentation and on the web. -bjc
