If so, maybe you could=E2=80=A6 avoid it somehow? :-) Other options, as discussed on IRC, include adding =E2=80=98glibc-utf8-loca= les=E2=80=99 to the environment, or calling out to Coreutils as you proposed=E2=80=A6 Ludo=E2=80=99.
