Well, from my perspective, the question is architecture per
architecture.  I mean, I think it’s doable to find sponsor (companies or
academic institutions) for x86_64 because it’s commonly used.  And
that’s not the case for less used others.

Other said, I think it would be a bad investment to buy x86_64 machines
when they could be donated and/or hosted.  However, it would be harder
for aarch64 or power9 or else, IMHO.
