Hello Francis,

We’ve been considering basing the new hydra.gnu.org front-end (the build
farm for GNU Guix) on <http://minifree.org/product/libreboot-d16/>. We
would need something like 8+ cores, 16+G of RAM, and a couple of fast
HDDs.

I thought we could take advantage of your experience to more precisely
specify that machine, maybe based on machines you have built around D16.
Would you have specific pieces of hardware and stores that you would
recommend (or recommend against)?

I suppose Minifree doesn’t normally assemble complete machines? That
would have been even better. ;-)

Thanks in advance! :-)

Ludo’.

If we have the budget, it looks like the D16 supports two socket and up
to 16 cores per socket. 24-32 cores in a build machine would be great
:-))
