Hello Guix!

Last week GNU was accepted as an organization for Google’s Summer of
Code (GSoC), which means we can have students working on Guix and the
Shepherd.

Now’s the time to recruit! If you’d like to mentor, please follow the
instructions in this email:

  https://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/summer-of-code/2017-02/msg00026.html

Also please take a look at
<https://libreplanet.org/wiki/Group:Guix/GSoC-2017>, update it as you
see fit, and email us if you’re a candidate.

People who are already contributing to Guix and who are eligible are
welcome too!

We should add a news entry for this on the web site.

Ludo’.

I’ve posted a news here:

Spread the word!

Whoo! I can mentor the async event loop one, but I added Fibers as an
option for the event loop... and Fibers may be a better fit, for this
than 8sync (but I left it on there).

‘If you are an eligible student’ points to [0]. I think that [1] (or
dropping the anchor entirely) would be better.

Kind regards,
