Guix Committers!

There's org created for Guix on Codeberg to setup mirrors for Guix's 
repositories. Please let me know if you'd like to become owner of the 
namespace and I'll add you.

For consistency, I suggest extending this offer to committers only since
they have already been approved through our documented procedures.

I would like to be added, just created a Codeberg account (been
meaning to try it out and will see for migrating/mirror some stuff
from other places). I'll comment on that issue now.

I'm not sure how we can easily verify identities, even though I've
added my keys to Codeberg. Maybe I'm missing something simple though.

I did see that if you look at a commit I made that is on the mirror,
like
<https://codeberg.org/guix/guix-mirror/commit/cf3f3dc056fcc91156ce5117dffd247d229003ba>
you can see it is associated with the Codeberg account. It is unclear
if the various green/checkmarks mean that the key was verified (I did
their verification signing check) though.

Yes, thanks all, having some official mirrors and improving our public
infrastructure is great (maybe a status page next?).

Before you inspire any copycats (your posting was okay, podiki) please
know, everyone, that the issue with Codeberg e.V. (the abbreviation
stands for registered community organization in German) is for our
communications with Codeberg.

For our internal discussions about administration, appearance or
functionality, this mailing list is probably more appropriate.

The issue tracker on our Codeberg repo is presently disabled.  Luis
Felipe made a powerful case that we could also discuss the mirror on the
issue tracker, but then we worried that folks might file merge requests
over there.

In the end, fear won out.

The sole outstanding issue with Codeberg is now the method of
synchronization.  If anyone here is a member of Codeberg e. V. (and not
just the website) please let us know.  We need more pull, in more than
one sense.  Yank, really.

Great idea, but probably too much work: Codeberg's status is already
available at https://status.codeberg.org.

Yes, this was meant to be directed towards committers as I used 
salutation 'Guix Committers!'. I must've been more explicit. :-)
