If so, do you have a suggestion? I'm not sure. I had also assumed that it was a well known fact that Debi= an GNU/Hurd is the most up to date and maintained Hurd distribion, with whic= h you=20 can=20run a desktop environment (XFCE) on bare metal. If you so chose to add a snippet or link to Debian GNU/Hurd, then perhaps= you=20 could=20add this in a footnote (the choice is yours to make): While Guix GNU/Hurd has an exciting future, please be aware that it=20 lacks=20many packages and services, including Xorg. If you simply must i= nstall the Hurd on bare metal running your favorite window manager (eg: i3, icew= m, etc.) or lightweight desktop environment (Xfce) this week, then Debian GNU/Hurd= is a good choice. Though we hope to catch up to them soon! Thanks, Joshua P.S. Really nice work on the blog post! It's always fun to see you lead= ing the guix Hurd development effort!=20 >=20Greetings, > Janneke >=20 >=20*) as far as you can (still) appreciate a traditional, non-declarativ= e > system to be awesome these days ;) >=20 >=20--=20 >=20Janneke Nieuwenhuizen | GNU LilyPond https://lilypo= nd.org/ > Freelance IT https://www.joyofsource.com/ | Avatar=C2=AE https://avatar= academy.com/ >
