I believe riscv64= will be an important architecture to support for all free software. The bo= ards are quite costly right now (~$1000), so it's a good opportunity to get= some. >=20 Especially after watching some of the FOSDEM 2019 videos, anyone interested should be happy to know that this likely is less of writing support from scratch in all the upstream projects but rather porting Guix itself to 64-bit riscv5 (riscv64? I don't know the nomenclature). After Guix itself works then you'll want to build All-The-Things=E2=84=A2 a= nd fix build failures as you come across them. For some examples you can check the git repo for commits including "aarch64-linux" or "Fix build". There are a couple of packages, like mesa, which get special attention since its much much easier to work on natively. > Those who want some riscv64 boards should contact Palmer Dabbelt @ SiFive. >=20 --=20 Efraim Flashner =D7=90=D7=A4=D7=A8=D7=99=D7=9D = =D7=A4=D7=9C=D7=A9=D7=A0=D7=A8 GPG key =3D A28B F40C 3E55 1372 662D 14F7 41AA E7DC CA3D 8351 Confidentiality cannot be guaranteed on emails sent or received unencrypted --RVlUGXxwBj5SDcM9 Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name="signature.asc" -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- iQIzBAABCgAdFiEEoov0DD5VE3JmLRT3Qarn3Mo9g1EFAl14p5oACgkQQarn3Mo9 g1EkkxAAg/yPIbC8RkqmPf2EK/RhiLrImmRvOcr137LegLR5jEaR72KzL9tcFTO6 APfAA5EFqpIMLXksp1+I8zDA2R/hKCiiVAvAdrGkefP8UGm6D9MhUSULHl+PItd4 D/veejAxhnNo7WyfGYr3C3dq2RBOFxNLJEzAYlatwEnFmY1oRmH4ObUCk94Oegy/ tXuT4QYIXjZi0kxRzCVqDMar7r/sN93bnZMsiED/nt75Er8VBf7JdkbgFxyF4Vf+ hhmyWox9P/0wXANiP2O6ITX4BlcHJghDueRtqd06Roh4oTMxJl/JxZto4dojb5pE m2FbpZ0pq+NBA1nqrkxgSBGsIN370IzZrQULBc5OVKXsG5Uj3hRsSUHkE2dr3XIk aC88GkIFbhbEsAy9Tx8yuI8NiUb0EK7+7lf3D0MN2bf4TQBlxg4Bb+be6/lSywXR aYOidkTMQnsQ+g93NDQunUVhGZi1A0OFE3dTuro6I8ERDQgLL5xacmLIO0oFTJNv vDrR9+GR0G8KEJlQaccmccDKJHTc92dq2Jjei0P5hT2JLg/PB2TAyQLlZbWXgo2f l+8OiA1ZMm+SgOLcMGP/TSfqj+0uUKgiI1sa9JXPsJUVAdVhxjNB55IxmQbWbH8k El2yWkD1BNQi31mKE0ExHNTExwZyd28LZpR4UX1Zf5rctD49t7Y= =WEMc -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --RVlUGXxwBj5SDcM9--
