Lenovo Ideapad 100S had problems with Guix 0.15.0, but it seems already fixed and unrelated. There may be other affected machines. As Thomas Schmitt wrote in his last e-mail, there are other advantages when users want or need to modify an install USB drive. If I understand correctly, Thomas Schmitt and Danny Milosavljevic would rather work on a Guile implementation instead of submitting the current patch to use a shell script from xorriso for the 1.0 release (?).
